Central Eurasia Leadership Alliance’s 18th Leadership Academy (”CELA 18”)

July 14th –24th, 2025 at Nazarbayev University, Astana, Kazakhstan

Welcome to the Central Eurasia Leadership Alliance’s (CELA) 18th Leadership Academy (”CELA 18”). This is an opportunity to join about forty outstanding individuals from across Central Asia, South Caucasus, Afghanistan and Mongolia for this ten-day event of immersive personal transformation, self-exploration and finding the purpose as a human and a leader. English is the language of instruction during the CELA workshop and fluency is an absolute requirement. Because of the intensive nature of the Academy and in order to qualify as CELA graduate, participants MUST ARRIVE on July 13, REMAIN THROUGH THE ENTIRE program, and depart NO EARLIER than July 24.

The purpose of this application form is to share honest and deep insights into your personal/local/regional/global context of leadership and show as much of your person and personality as possible. Admission to CELA Leadership Academy is based on a competitive selection process.

The general prerequisites for eligibility include age limitation between 28 and 40 years, a citizen of one of the following countries: Afghanistan, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan - and a leader aspiring to bigger goals from the fields of business (especially entrepreneurs), media, academia, civil society or government.

After submitting your filled-out Application Form and CV, the next step would be for Country Selection Committees to consider your credentials. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for an interview. If successful, further instructions will be provided by CELA staff.

The CELA 18 Leadership Academy participation fee is $3,000. It will only partially cover the cost of accommodation, food, and program costs, while CELA donors subsidize the rest. Participants are responsible for their own travel and visa expenses to and from Astana, Kazakhstan. Accepted participants must make a non-refundable deposit of $500 by May 15th 2025. The remaining $2,500 must be paid by June 15th 2025.
